Johnson's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American Alize Johnson (206-SF-1996) put on an amazing game in the last week for Atleticos de San German and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 22.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Ponce (#6, 9-12) 98-96. Atleticos moved-up to the 5th position in Puerto Rican league. San German is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 15th lost game this season out of 25 games. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Atleticos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Alize Johnson averages this season 22.1ppg, 14.4rpg and 4.3apg.

Second best performed player last week was Sheldon Mac (196-G-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Super Santeros de Aguada. He is American guard in his first season at Aguada. In the last game Mac recorded an impressive 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Aguada to edge the higher-ranked Arecibo (#1, 18-5) by 4 points 100-96. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Aguada consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-16 record. Mac is one of the most experienced players at Aguada and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Will Barton (198-SG-1991) of Cangrejeros de Santurce (#5). Barton showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last week. Despite Barton's great performance the Cangrejeros lost 93-95 to slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#3, 11-12). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Santurce ranking at the top of Group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Barton could help Santurce to bring them higher in the standings. Barton has a very solid season. In 9 games in Puerto Rico he scored 16.9ppg. He also has 4.9rpg and 3.9apg.

10. David Stockton (180-PG-1991) of Arecibo - 31 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
